REVIEW: The Wicked King by Holly Black

– You judge a book most by its ending.

MY THOUGHTS:

In all truth, I’m reviewing book 2 (The Wicked King) and book 3 (The Queen of Nothing) in rapid succession because I devoured both within ~72 hrs.

If you loved, liked, or just plain tolerated The Cruel Prince – this installment is the no-nonsense auntie that absolutely smacked some sense into the series. “PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!” And it did.

While almost nothing can top the plot twist in The Cruel Prince, The Wicked King was consistently exciting, unpredictable, and just outright fun in every way TCP wasn’t.

The character development finally starts to do these characters justice (I love Jude and apologize for thinking such negative things about her before), and the ending is *chef’s kiss*.
